3. What point convinced your colleagues to apply the declaration of conformity?

IGEFA SE & Co. KG

Since the publication of the DNK, igefa has been the 10th company ever to issue a declaration of conformity. We wanted to use the DNK as a guide for the implementation of sustainability management in our organisation. After seven years of sustainability reporting, the publication of the report now serves not only as an annual self-assessment tool, but often also as a verification document for corresponding customer enquiries and tenders.

4. What do you see as the biggest challenge regarding the integration of sustainability into business processes?

The biggest challenge is to leave the way of "we always did so" and to understand sustainability a an ongoing continuous process of change. Sustainability needs innovation. A culture of innovation has to grow in order to encourage collaborators to bring up their ideas and to use external inspirations. There is a need for space to give ideas a try, but also for defining ambitious targets and stand setbacks. All this is not an implicitness.
